It is not One Piece. Let’s get that out of the way. But if you ever wanted to hunt treasure like Luffy without needing a crew or a ship, Bounty Bash gets you most of the way there with just your phone. It is an idle combat game where your pirates keep battling while you are away, and I liked it a lot more than I expected to.

The fights do the work, you do the shopping

Waves of cannon fire. Explosive skills. Fancy effects everywhere, and ultimate moves that light up the whole screen. Bounty Bash is loud in the best way, and it never once asked me to micromanage a hit. My heroes and my ship handle the fighting on their own, collecting gold, treasures and bounties while I poke around in menus.

And that is where I spent most of my time, honestly. Recruiting new pirates, boosting their stats, unlocking relics, swapping ship parts. Progress comes from making the crew and the ship stronger, not from tapping faster. Over time the damage numbers skyrocket, the tougher bosses start falling over, and you push further out to sea. It is a simple loop, but a satisfying one.

It keeps changing under you

The game did not sit still while I played it. New heroes showed up, new relics, daily bounties, a summer festival event, and balance tweaks that kept progression feeling smooth instead of stalling. For a free idle game that is a good sign. Someone is clearly still working on it.

The ads and in-app purchases are definitely there. I will not pretend otherwise. But I made steady progress without paying for anything, and nothing felt like a wall built to make me open my wallet. If you like the game, support the creators. If you do not want to, you will still get plenty out of it.

Who should sail

Bounty Bash is for people who want nonstop action and upgrades without the grind of constant tapping. If your idea of an idle game is watching a colorful fight play out while you decide what to strengthen next, this is exactly that, with a fun pirate twist on top. The developer is also active on Reddit and open about how the mobile game business works, which only made me respect the game more.

If you need to be tapping every second to feel like you are playing, look elsewhere. Everyone else, hop aboard.
